What We Do

WCCA’s primary motivation and commitment is to actively manage WC claims with attention to the need and response for employee medical care, while offering protection for the employer against higher indemnity and premium costs or costly, work- injury litigation.

WCCA provides comprehensive research, analysis and customized solutions to eliminate unnecessary workers compensation costs for their clients.

The company has designed proprietary management tools to limit the impact of claims on employers cost and liabilities as well as the impact on claims outcomes that can be expected when an employer elects to use the services of WCCA.

Recently, an actuarial analysis was performed on all of our fully implemented client’s experiences when using the services of WCCA. The Illustration of Potential Savings for Insurers shows: Improvement in loss and ALAE ratio of 30% over the estimated loss and ALAE ratio prior to WCCA’s involvement and a 95% confidence level.

The Four Intentions Essential to the WCCA Method:

Our first intention is the Elimination of Fraud.

Most everyone would agree that fraud is a major issue for employers. The WC insurance category has one of the highest rates of fraud among all types of insurance available. Fraud can include faking an injury or someone getting injured at home on the weekend, then reporting it on Monday at work. Or it can be as benign as a doctor simply offering a patient extra time off at work. Unfortunately, this also, is fraud. We’ve set up processes designed to eliminate the potential for fraud at the time of injury. And we’ve gone a long way to doing just that.

Our second  intention is the Active Reduction of Indemnity Costs including temporary disability or permanent impairment.

In most states when an employer eliminates indemnity you will decrease premium costs up to 75% going forward. This is a major incentive in controlling indemnity cost. Clients contracted with WCCA, will see indemnity costs near 6% compared to the national average  – over 24%.

Our third intention is Elimination of Claims.

Our proprietary management tools are designed to limit the impact of claims on employers cost. While some injuries do require a doctor’s care, we find that more injuries in fact, do not require the attention of a doctor.  We have a triage system in place that helps determine which claims require a doctor’s level of care and which claims do not.

Our fourth intention is Overall Impact Management within the System.

Without doubt, the WC system is inherently inflationary.  A single motivation is common to all players and exists to drive insurance costs up. [as commissions & passive management resulting in higher premiums]  WCCA’s primary motivation and commitment is to actively manage WC claims with attention to the need and response for employee medical care, while offering protection for the employer against higher indemnity and premium costs or the more costly, work- injury litigation.

The Four Philosophies distinctive to the WCCA Method

1. Establish and control the claim at the time of injury. If possible, establish the claim within minutes of the injury.

2. Intensive Case Creation
. – means being in communication with the doctor, making reasonable accommodation for the injured in writing and getting the employee back to work … all within 24 hrs!

3. Control of the Case. We preempt the system, establish the case, then monitor and manage the Claim. Our motive and Method is to actively manage the claim and reduce your costs.

4. No Indemnity Cost is Acceptable. What does this possibility represent for employers?

WCCA consistently achieves 6% as indemnity claims compared to the national average of 24% or more. That’s a significant decrease in insurance cost and risk to the employer.
